ASD SEND Teacher – April Start – Bourne End
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Bourne End from April 2024. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other complex learning needs.

About the Role:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with ASD and additional SEN.
Use structured teaching approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton) to support communication and learning.
Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and SENCOs to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Implement EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and track student progress.
Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes independence and positive behaviour.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching students with ASD and additional SEN in a specialist or mainstream setting.
Strong behaviour management skills and experience using individualised teaching strategies.
Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other ASD-specific interventions is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with complex needs.
